Simulation-Based Decision Support System to Improve Material Flow of a Textile Company

To remain competitive, companies must continuously improve the processes at hand, be they administrative, production, or logistics. The objective of study described in this paper was to develop a decision-making tool based on simulation model support production knits and damask fabrics. used test different control strategies for material flow, from raw warehouse finished product warehouse, thus can also evaluate impacts these productivity. data upon which decision built were collected five sectors plant: knit finishing work, warehouse. met objectives project, with all developed showing positive results. Knit rates increased by up 8% 44%, respectively, reduction 75% observed waiting time point entry work area, compared company’s existing system.
